Happy new year! Once more, a year has passed, another wipe is in progress, with a new season approaching.

Let’s take a few minutes, just like we do every year, to sit down, lay back, and take a look at the wonderful statistics of season six on our server.

Every year, I like to come up with a tagline, and this year, I’m calling it “The Year of Firsts”.

  • We’ve finally upgraded to 1.20.1, which was a very important step after our four years of 1.16.5
  • Spade decided to build this year’s spawn, without me even really being aware of it until it was finished
  • During June, the first ever Pride Event took place and the beloved Gay ForkTM found a new owner
  • For Halloween—or rather—the entirety of October, our staff, first and foremost Krab, created a legendary event with four unique bosses to battle

The seed & world download

Our world was generated using the following seed: 6519781741541457630

As every year, you will be able to download the entire world, although you may need a fast internet connection and a lot of space.

Now, let’s talk about what comes next.

Remember last year when I mentioned Mojang’s focus on minor updates instead of major ones? Well, that trend is still going strong, making it tough for modders to agree on a solid version to work with. For this year, we’ll stick with 1.20.1, but chances are we won’t be stuck here as long as we were with 1.12 or 1.16.

On another note, the server software we’ve been using for the past couple of years just announced they’re shutting down the project. At least this time, we had a chance to find a new option—unlike when they suddenly decided to drop support for 1.16.5 right after we reopened in 2023. Or was it 2022?

Either way, we’ve found a new alternative that seems promising and might even be less buggy, which is a nice surprise.

We’ll keep you updated on our process in the announcements channel on our Discord. And please, try not to ask about it every other day.
